About Chase Change
Chase Change Inc. is a Gen Z-inspired nonprofit rooted in transformation, empowerment, and advocacy. Led by Terra Stephens—an award-winning social impact leader and mental health advocate—Chase Change is committed to serving youth and young adults ages 12–25, a demographic Terra passionately supports because it reflects her own lived experiences.
Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Springfield, VA, Terra’s early life was shaped by adversity, including periods of youth homelessness. She found healing and direction at The Covenant House Greater Washington, a place of refuge that helped her rewrite her story. Today, Terra proudly serves as a Board Member of that very organization, using her platform to give back to the same community that once held her up.
Terra created Chase Change because she recognized the pressure today’s youth face to be accepted, admired, and “liked”—especially in a world heavily shaped by social media. In a generation where popularity often overshadows purpose, Terra felt it necessary to emphasize change: real, intentional, lasting change. She believes the next generation deserves to know their value isn’t defined by trends or algorithms, but by their ability to evolve, lead, and uplift others.

With a strong background in graphic design, event coordination, cross-marketing, and social media strategy, Terra uses her skills to create meaningful, creative experiences that inspire personal growth and collective progress.
Through Chase Change, Terra curates:
- Mentorship-driven events
- Mental health-centered workshops
- Strategic partnerships with mission-aligned organizations
- Campaigns that amplify underserved voices and bridge generational divides
In March 2025, Terra was honored with 93.9 WKYS & Radio One’s Women of the Year Award, recognizing her tireless work in social impact and youth advocacy. Chase Change is more than a brand—it’s a movement built to shift culture, build community, and encourage young people to lead with intention. Whether it’s inspiring confidence, encouraging healing, or promoting equity, Chase Change exists to guide the next generation toward becoming the change they wish to see in the world.
